It is published under Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Article 18.1(2) of Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data” and the data protection laws of the other countries where the site is read.
Information about data recipients is current as of October 3, 2026.
1. Controller
The controller of personal data and owner of the site is Independent Web Media (a natural person), address: 119034, Moscow, Wabali St. 4, country of registration: Russia. Contact for personal data matters, requests and withdrawal of consent: [email protected].
2. What data is processed and why
The site has no registration, forms or comments: we do not ask for your name, phone number, address or any other details. Data arises automatically when you visit pages.
Technical request data — IP address, date and time of the request, page address and referring page, browser and device information. It is received by the hosting provider that delivers the pages, so that the site works and is protected against attacks and abuse.
We do not make decisions producing legal effects for you based on this data, and we do not process special categories of personal data.
3. Cookies and data recipients
Cookies are small files that the site or services connected to it store in your browser. Necessary cookies are always on: they remember your choice in the consent window.
Who receives data, for what purpose, which data, and in which country:
| Recipient | Purpose | Data | Cookies on this site's domain | Country | Recipient's policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare (Pages) — Cloudflare, Inc. (processes on our behalf) | Necessary | IP address, date and time of the request, page address, referring page, browser and device information | — | United States | open |
Recipients marked “processes on our behalf” use the data only to provide their service to us.
4. Legal bases
- Technical request data — the controller’s legitimate interest in the operation and security of the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; Article 6(1)(7) of Law No. 152-FZ).
5. International transfers
For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, data is transferred to recipients outside these territories, including to countries without an adequacy decision. Transfers rely on the mechanisms provided in the recipient’s terms (usually standard contractual clauses) or, where there are none, on your explicit consent (Article 49(1)(a) GDPR), given after being informed that data protection in such countries may be weaker.
Recipients outside Russia: Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). For citizens of Russia, transfers follow Article 12 of Law No. 152-FZ; transfers to countries that do not ensure adequate protection take place only with your consent.
6. Retention
- Your choice in the consent window is kept in a browser cookie for 182 days, after which the site asks again. You can change it earlier.
- Recipients keep cookies and data for the periods set in their policies (linked in the table).
- The site has no server or visitor database of its own: pages are served by the hosting provider.

- have incomplete, inaccurate or unlawfully processed data corrected, restricted or erased;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;
